Portrait of Obama
Obama (2008), by emerging Chinese Contemporary artist Ren Zhenyu, is one of the most culturally relevant bold Neo-Pop portraits of the President. This iconic image of Obama looking “into the future” was used throughout the US Presidential campaign of 2008.
This work is Ren at his best; it juxtaposes a spectrum of bright colors with definite brush strokes to create a unique, powerful, and poignant depiction of Obama.
